Betting is an interesting process but apart from getting some adrenaline it can help you to earn some money. Most bettors think that betting is easy money but at the end they lose. If you want to make money from betting you have to make smart bets, you have to analyze matches. Lineup today is created by professional players for professionals and for beginners who want to become profi in near future.
We want to show you how exactly lineuptoday is working but before that we want to remind what we mean by “analyzing matches”. It means that you have to count a lot of factors which can influence the outcome, like:
There are a lot of factors which can play a big part in the outcome and a lot of books have been written about it. But we have mentioned the most important factors above and created lineuptoday which covers all of them.
Sometimes head coaches play mind games, rating key players as doubtful or hiding injury news not to give an advantage to the opposite coach. That is why we decided to stick with the starting XI: when you see the lineups you get a clear view of the problems teams actually have.
Our service analyzes lineups from more than 500 leagues, and the unique interface lets you get all the important info as fast as possible. The interface itself is described here.
Let’s see how to use it for a total, on the example of the Madrid derby Atl. Madrid - Real Madrid of 8 January 2026.
If you use the Profi tariff you will be able to see the percentage of the current starting XI against the ideal (most used) lineup. Ideal lineup – the starting XI based on minutes played this season, shown as 100% in our interface. If there are a few absentees the percentage changes accordingly.
In our example the ratio was 88% for Atletico against 81% for Real. When you click on the match you see the lineups themselves.
Players are sorted by minutes played this season, so the most used players are at the beginning of the list.
Green dots – starting lineups from the last 3 games, yellow dots – bench players in those games, red dots – the starting XI for the current match. We usually get them about an hour before kick-off; in this match they arrived 76 minutes before.
The interesting part here is not the percentage but who exactly is missing. Real have no Mbappe in the squad (18 goals, the most minutes of any outfield player) and no Eder Militao or Alexander-Arnold – two rotation defenders. So the visitors were weaker in attack (the
icon) and in defence at the same time. Atletico were close to their strongest, starting Alvarez and Sorloth together.
The logic of the total bet is this: an unfamiliar back line for the visitors, a full-strength attack for the hosts and no cautious rotation on either side all raise the probability of goals. This is a classic over scenario.
The odds block under the lineups shows the 2.5 goals total at several bookmakers at once: Pinnacle 1.62 / 2.38 at a 3.6% margin, Bet365 1.62 / 2.3 at 4.9%, Sbobet 1.6 / 2.35 at 4.8%, Marathonbet 1.61 / 2.35 at 4.5%. The Marg O/U column helps you pick the fairer line – the lower the margin, the better the real return.
The UDI row shows the move since the line opened: over 2.5 shortened by 6.2% while under 2.5 drifted by 9.7%. The market was moving the same way as our reading of the lineups – a confirmation, not a contradiction.
So our pick is over 2.5 goals at 1.62.
The match finished 1-2: three goals, the over 2.5 bet won.
So on this example we showed you how analyzing the factors which impact the outcome is important.
Lineups today gives you the opportunity to get thousands of matches and make smart calls thanks to our system and interface.
